Introduction

This was a Management Development Programme for the Quality Assurance Team.

The team has the ability to ‘influence’ the decisions and behaviours of the Operations function by recommending best practice and highlighting issues and risks by do not have authority to insist on these being applied or attended to.

Training was required to enable the team to develop the skills to assert more influence and persuade operational staff to be more compliant and risk aware.

How we helped

The team were trained in how to approach challenging situations with more confidence and to identify and use the right communication style to build trust and positively influence behaviour.

The programme included learning about how to approach situations with the right mind set, identify the language patterns of the people they were interacting with and choosing their language skilfully to gain the outcomes they were looking for.

The Outcome

As a result of the programme, the teams developed improved assertiveness and communication skills.
